随着我国改革开放的日益深入，世界经济全球化的发展，社会对人才的要求也越来越高。21世纪的人才必须具备能够走向世界，参与国际交流与竞争的能力。英语作为国际通用语言，越发显示出其重要性。当前，我国全民投入到空前高涨的学英语热潮中，幼儿成为学英语的主力军，这就对幼师的英语水平提出了更高的要求。幼教英语师资水平的高低直接关系到幼儿英语教育的好坏。但是，供幼师专业使用的英语教材却少之又少。为了解决此矛盾，本编写组依据语言学习的客观规律和相关英语教学大纲的要求，结合职业学校的培养目标和教学实践而编写出《幼师英语》教材，本教材在编写过程中，充分考虑到幼师学生的英语水平和专业特点，采用模块式教学，从听、说、读、写四个方面全方位地培养学生，使学生从被动学习转化为自主学习。供幼师专业的学生和英语爱好者自学使用。
