亚米契斯（1846-1908），意大利著名小说家。自幼深受爱国主义风潮的影响，酷爱写作，在军队当过军官，担任过随军记者和编辑。退役后，致力于文学创作，主要集中于军队和学校生活的描写。其游历欧、亚诸国所创作的记录各国风土人情的作品也贯穿着爱国主义的主旨。
