许焕荣编著的《隐喻语篇综合研究》基于国内外对隐喻语篇功能的研究，以认知语言学和语篇分析等理论为指导，对隐喻投射与隐喻语篇之间的关系进行了系统研究；对隐喻投射的内容、类型、特点及产生的认知力，隐喻语篇的分类及内部组织形式，隐喻投射与不同语篇文体功能之间的关系，隐喻语篇多维分析及隐喻的言语之力等进行了多方面探索，为隐喻语篇研究提供了综观视角，丰富了隐喻语篇理论，并在一定程度上充实了语篇研究理论与方法。本书语料多选自文学作品，可读性强。本书适合高校英语教师、英语专业研究生及从事相关研究工作的人员参考阅读。
