One of the most challenging and engaging artists emerging today, Italian artist Giuseppe Gabellone laboriously constructs structures-some sleek and minimal, others biomorphic and earthy-frequently destroying them soon after he takes a photograph. The resulting images plumb our associations with documentary photography and withi,ideas of presence and absence.
