这是由一篇博士论文改编而成的学术专著，全书以英文的形式呈现。全书围绕三个问题展开讨论，这三个问题是：二语心理词汇是语义的还是语音的?二语心理词汇中的词汇联系与母语心理词汇中的词汇联系是否有着系统的差异?随着词汇知识的不断增加，二语心理词汇是否会逐步由语音向语义发展？

解放军外国语学院英语专业建立于1949年，是全国和全军的重点学科，拥有博士后科研流动站和博士学位授权点，目前具有博士学位的教师达20余名。
