本书是为涉外法治人才培养量身打造的法律英语听说图书。本书以二语习得理论为指导，以英美法系真实案件、素材为语料，以听、说作为法学知识输入、输出的载体。通过对学生进行系统的听说训练，促进涉外法治人才法学知识、英语能力深度融合，推动其听力能力、口语能力协同发展，确保涉外法治人才“听得懂”“说得好”。

徐优平，外国语言学及应用语言学博士，广东外语外贸大学副教授、硕士研究生导师，英国利兹大学、阿斯顿大学访问学者。现任中国英汉语比较研究会法律语言学专业委员会副会长兼秘书长，国际法律语言学协会会员。主要研究领域为法律语言、法律翻译、法律英语教学。主持省部级课题3项，出版专著1部，参编教材5部，在Semiotica等国际核心期刊发表论文8篇。长期从事法律英语听说课程的教学工作，多次荣获广东外语外贸大学优秀教学奖、科研业绩奖。
