《体育文化通识读本》专门为体育院校学生编写，主要供完成《大学英语课程教学要求》中规定的“一般要求”后继续学习“较高要求”和“更高要求”英语课程的学生使用，同时也适用于体育英语爱好者、体育产业和体育休闲从业人员、体育文化与体育英语培训机构和体育管理人员等。本教材以体育项目和体育文化为切入点，紧密围绕体育运动相关话题，共包括8个单元。内容选自英美报章杂志和新媒体，视角新颖、内容齐全，兼具趣味性与互动性。
